Vasu Eda

Vasu Eda is the co-founder and CEO of RiseSharp, a venture aimed at helping college students in India successfully transition from college to career. Vasu is also the founder of SpanOne, which helps high school students achieve their college goals.

He founded an on-demand Human Capital Management (HCM) company and served as its CEO from its inception to its eventual acquisition by a publicly held company. Prior to that, Vasu worked at multinational companies, Alcatel-Lucent and Intel Corporation, in corporate strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.

He holds an MBA from Columbia University, an MS in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic College in Warangal.

Vasu strongly believes that a good education, coupled with meaningful job-readiness experiences, can make a huge difference in the lives of today’s youth and lead to better career opportunities. He frequently visits colleges as a guest speaker to discuss how to gain valuable experience while in college and more specifically, how to transition from college to career successfully. 

Vasu and his wife, Karuna, have three children (Anurag, Krithi, and Ria). He dedicates the book to parents facing socio-economic challenges who invest in their children’s education for a better future, and plans to donate the proceeds from this book to nonprofit.
